Thinking Fast and Slow - Some Lessons

So, I completed reading Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman and I have got some lessons which might be worthwhile for all of us.

The author states that we have two processes for processing the problems, the first one is fast and reflex which is fast thinking i.e 2+2 whenever asked would prompt simple answer of 4 but the Slow Thinking is when we don't have answers at hand i.e 13*27 and we can't answer it abruptly without calculations.

The author had detailed at length as to how our biases and preconceived notions about different concepts affect our judgment about different issues.

He has also clarified that instead of human judgment, calculations based on formulas are more accurate. He mentions about the delivery cases and says that evena  formula can determine about the chances of survival and well being of babies instead of the judgment about the same thing by a human being.

Daniel Kahneman has stated through data that even married and unmarried people are happy by the same amount because if you are married, you enjoy the pleasure of partner and kids but sacrifice the company of friends.

On the other hand, if you are unmarried, you do have a lot of time for friends and so you garner your happiness through this social bank.

Through a series of experiments, he has explained as to how our brain functioning affects our judgment and we jump to conclusions based on our fast thinking processing of problems and challenges.

The book also involves some of the terms of psychology and it needs to be read with due attention. Its a comprehensive book which hinges on statistics and data extraction and the author has relied more on the data collection and then the hypothesis built on the basis of that instead of making judgments based on his personal biases.

"Thinking Fast and Slow" also delineates upon how marketing plays with our minds and how we are tuned to making judgment abased on the stereotypes.

With charts and graphs and images, the author has tried to explain the delicate concepts of psychology and has connected them with our daily lives so we can connect with the concept being discussed.

It's a good read if you are interested about delving deep into your mind and trying to gauge what eclipses your judgment and how do you make decisions.

If you love reading more about psychology, do read this one as it is detailed and on point, bolstered by statistics and data.

I passed CSS exam with 3 months preparation, Here's my strategy...

Merely by the blessings of Allah Almighty, I was able to pass the Competitive Examination (CSS-2018) with a preparation of 3 months and I would like to share the tips for aspirants and those who want simple tips.

Excuse the ramblings in this topic. Its part of the content writing I learned and wait you can read my blog here: https://streetgrand.com/

Also, I can be followed on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/haidersays/.

Duration

Oct 10 to December 31st, I devoted time from around 6 PM to 12 midnight as I was employed somewhere and used to get back home around 5 after which I took food, tea and then used to study. Even in that window of 6-12, I slept often in between studying for like 25-30 mins.

From Jan to exams (in February) I had taken off days to fully devote my attention to CSS.

If you devote 12 hours to study everyday then this overall duration for me came around 3 months.

Optionals

International Relations

I opted this instead of Political Science because I thought I am in touch with current and international affairs generally and so it is better to choose the subject where I can analyze different topics instead of cramming theories of Political Science.

For Paper-I, I consulted IR book by Safdar Mullick compiled by Kips and got 56.

For Paper-II, I consulted notes available at Student-Teacher Centre Punjab University Lahore.

They were written by Muhammad Qasim Zia and are available at Tahir Iqbal Photocopy. (0334, 0321, 0345- 4734258).

BTW, I started preparation of Paper-II on January 17th 2018 and again Allah Almighty was so kind that I secured 69 marks.

Gender Studies

I opted this because it was a bit short and I wanted to learn how we humans are different in our approaches toward life.

I only consulted SP Hammad notes available at Student-Teacher Centre, Punjab University Lahore. I got 62.

Criminology

I selected this because of the short syllabus and I thought I knew some stuff already about this subject like Parole, Probation, Cyber Crime, Money laundering etc.

I consulted book by Advance Publications written by Nasir Khan and Ammar Sattar and secured 74 marks.

Indo-Pak History

I ditched US History in favour of this subject because for US History, I had to learn and memorise even the NAMES and for Indo-Pak History, I thought I had some knowhow of subcontinent and additionally, I analyzed its past paper and thought I can attempt it somehow even without any preparation. I got 52 in the subject.

I consulted book by World Times penned by Mian Azmat Farooq for this.

Mass Communication

I opted this because I was interested in media ever since I graduated.

Moreover, I was doing something related to current affairs as part of my job and had an interest in media so I thought I might be able to correlate topics a bit.

I consulted book by HSM publishers and got 55 in this subject. This is not the best book, in fact very average one. I found it to be a copy paste content from the internet and has many grammatical errors which shows that the publisher is more interested in profit than actually guiding the public.
You can consult any book, but be assured that it has all the relevant topics for first reading and then you can search online for added knowledge to add to that.

Compulsory

Essay Paper

I didn't write even a single Essay before the paper because I didn't have much time and I found it complex to write an Essay, get it checked for just to be disappointed.

I simply read a book by Nasir Jamal and fetched notes of KIPS Essay outlines which are available at Punjab University, Student-Teacher Centre to get an idea of how outlines are made.

I memorized some statistics on different issues like global warming, terrorism, water scarcity and fortunately attempted the Essay on global warming.

My strategy was to simply use the statistics I had crammed. My outline was simple like starting from whether global warming and climate change are actually a problem or not.

Then I wrote 'Stats Don't Lie' as a heading (in outline) and used different supporting arguments and made their subheadings (in outline) like ice sheets melting and other aspects confirming my viewpoint.

Then I outlined the reasons and used sub-headings in outline as well. Afterward, I incorporated whether Pakistan is endangered and used statistics related to Pakistan.

Then I gave the heading (in outline) of how to curb global warming and in subheadings wrote 'Measures at international level' followed by 'Steps to be taken at national level' and then 'What humans can do' and concluded the topic.

My Essay was simple as well as the outline. My Essay spanned some 1900 words and I got 42 by the blessings of Almighty Allah. I just kept it relevant, did not do grammar or spellings mistakes.

I committed a blunder in outline as well as in the body of Essay as I mentioned Pakistan is at 5th most vulnerable spot though it was at 7th spot.

Even then, I passed the paper.

Tip: Simple, grammatically correct, without spelling mistake and relevant stuff would help you pass the paper.

Precis & Composition

I did not learn some 2000 words for vocabulary. I knew a bit more than an ordinary graduate in terms of vocabulary but equal to the one who reads the newspaper.

I didn't practice precis for paper, but the work I was doing somewhat involved shortening stuff. I didn't prepare Comprehension. I was in the thorough practice of translation. I got 51 in this paper.

Tip: If you can't memorise 2000 words, don't worry. Divert your attention towards Precis, Composition, Direct-Indirect, Active-Passive and translation.

Islamiat

I started preparation of it on December 24th 2017 and only consulted Karim Dad Chugtai's book

(Some of my fellows said the book contains wrong references, like the Quranic verses are right but they are numbered wrong; I have not cross-verified it).

I penned Ahadees and Quranic verses on a separate paper (1 or 2 pages in total) and memorized them to be used in paper.

I skipped the letters written by the Khulafas as I didn't have time and I got 48.

Pakistan Affairs

I consulted only Akram Rabbani's book as its comprehensive and nothing else. I was in touch with current affairs generally as well though I scored miserable, only 36.

General Science & Ability

I consulted book by Current Publishers written by Razza Ullah Khan for this subject. The IT portion related to Computer is somewhat missing in this though. I secured 57 marks.

Current Affairs

I had the knowhow of current affairs but not in detail. You can say I knew the headlines but not the body of news stories.

What I did was that I sat down in December and thought over the affairs that happened in 2017 and made notes of them on my own.

Like Qatar-Saudi Arabia crisis, Doklam Standoff, Islamic Military Alliance and others were the hot issues and so I understood what were the reasons behind the issues and learned some statistics on that and a bit of history ENTIRELY through the internet and prepared the subject. NO BOOK was consulted and I scored 56 marks.

Pro Tips

Don't try to fool the examiner. They have been marking the papers for so long and if you try to beat about the bush, they would sense that very soon and would hit you hard. Be precise and relevant if you are unsure about any topic.

Learn some terms like Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is the name for Iran Nuclear Deal and operation to hunt down Osama bin Laden was 'Neptune Spear'. Use these in your body.

I did not draw diagrams and charts in my papers because I DID NOT KNOW them as I didn't have any time. I did not draw margins on answer sheets and my handwriting is not very good. My handwriting is just legible but you can't say it great or excellent. It's just Okay.

I did not prepare any notes (in terms of actual lengthy notes). Like I penned one-liners and basic crux of different theories (of IR, Gender Studies) which confused me a bit.

I did not appear in any mock exams as I did not have any time. I did not consult any teacher or ACADEMY for written part preparation and learned on my own through books, internet, Youtube etc. I did not read foreign authors and simply read the local authors mentioned above because I wanted to complete the course which was possible only if I could consult a single book without the hassle of exploring different books.

I only consulted two of my friends (Babar Ali Rai and Waleed Ashraf).

Both of these gems guided me on which books should I consult and I owe them a lot. They were a great help throughout the process.

Simply don't believe in myths. If you are an average student and have more than 3 months, you can pass the exam. Believe in Allah Almighty, be humble, sit tight, keep studying and forget about the results. I didn't know I could pass the exam but Karma worked.
I am not suggesting that those who invest more time and read from different sources are wasting their time. All I am saying is that my strategy is just another solution and method which could work for you to pass the exam.

And during the papers, don't discuss the question paper after you are done. Sometimes you would feel that you might fail a subject and think over quitting the attempt but DON'T DO THIS.

I was sure that I would fail in one of the papers but somehow I passed and so even if you are sure that you might fail in one subject, simply ignore this feeling and move on and attempt every paper with the same energy and dedication.

Books
The books mentioned above are not the best one. I just shared so that those who are starting could grab one and read it thoroughly.
But if you find any other book, its equally perfect. Just make sure that it covers all the contents of the syllabus and then you can consult multiple sources. I won't get any sort of commission out of these books so I have no stakes attached to these books but yes I consulted these. I would love to help in case anyone is confused about the process. Abid Sher Ali on Twitter: A Candid Autopsy

We are living in age of social networks.Be they social messengers like whatsapp or snapchat or web interpretations of them like Facebook or Twitter, everyone is busy mingling with his status or tweet.
As in case of pakistan, people prefer facebook over twitter for the reason that it's trendy, easy to use and interactive.
But our political elite on the other side grabs a much fair space on microblogging site twitter. From uploading their Being Awami pictures to flaunting their political excellence they don't lag behind and some of them remain active while replying to their supporters and peers as well.

But we have a politically notorious celebrity going by the handle @AbidSherAli on twitter,is the current Minister for Water and Power.Hailing from the city Faisalabd known for traditional repartee,Abid maintains to connect with his people on ground and on cyber ground as well.

But at times he crosses the limit while slamming his political opponents. Abid sher Ali is a political player and he must berate his opponents as everyone does but he gives a damn to limits of social decency in his tweets. With followers nearing 2 Lacs, Abid keeps on slamming Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf and Imran Khan in particular.Just to clear the air that i don't mind anyone criticising Khan and his party but political animosity has its borders. With scores of logical spots to bash Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf,Minister opts to go below the belt.
Following is a summary of his tweets many consider lousy.

Have a look and review whether a MINISTER should be of that intellect to safeguard your rights.
Remember he is being followed by over 45 prominent journalists/anchors and most importantly Maryam Nawaz Sharif also follows the tweets of the minister.

And another one

Another one

The list goes on

Brace yourself here's another one

Sorry for all these lousy tweets.I was able to browse through current month (MAY) tweets of the minister.
The point is not criticism. Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf got serious flaws in their policy but the way a minister behaves online with followers nearing 2 hundred thousand is simply clumsy.
Leaving you with the conundrum that had he been a minister in some cultured society with this gibberish.??

Certainly NOT from my side

(Many of his indecent tweets have been sensored by me PLUS the images available on google referring to his tweets depict a more deplorable state of intellect but as they are images so i thought to embed his original tweets just to clear the air regarding Photoshop)

Sadiq Khan:Another thing to love London

"Today was an amazing victory for hope over fear and for unity over division – and it simply would not have been possible without your help."

This was the latest tweet by the newly elected Mayor of London Sadiq Khan who bagged triumph against Zac Goldsmith.I don't need to bother about the fact that Zac is Brother of jemima and ex Brother in Law of Imran Khan,Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e insaf.

London has always been a hub of culture, civilization and trendy trends. It's worth mentioning that first traffic light signal was installed in London back in 1868 but Sadiq Khan's victory installed another political light signal for world to follow.

In a Christian but secular community Khan's wins over Goldsmith enlightened the world with a new political reality that Religion which is almost the most sacred and identity pointer for anyone falls on a stony ground when it comes to London.

Zac Goldsmith a tall smart multi-millionaire guy apparently was a much stronger candidate than Khan,a Muslim,Not so rich, with a humble background but Zac forgot one thing,This is London,a land of people from diverse culture and background not drenched in hatred which ZAC was proliferating. He was playing religion card against sadiq that didn't stimulated intellectual cords of the masses.

And what we need to grab from all this is sense,Sense regarding how to elect and whom to reject. Can we simply imagine son of a bus driver and more importantly from another religion  becoming  mayor of a capital in this hate torn society we call "Land of Pure" and pretty recently we saw in our neighborhood, Narendra Modi a man who worked at a tea stall becoming prime minister of India.

One can say that Modi won due to hate factor against Muslims and not due to his TEA selling factor but on the contrary, opinion polls refer ZAC Goldsmith's defeat due to the same hate factor he sold against Sadiq Khan.Londoners rejected his ideology against Muslims although they are still recovering from wounds of 7/7 Bombings which were allegedly done by some radical people who called themselves Muslims and remember Sadiq Khan was Member of parliament that time from tooting.

Zac also wrote an op ed titled " Are we really going to hand the world’s greatest city to a Labour party that thinks terrorists are its friends” but his effort to link terrorism with Muslims proved futile.

We in Pakistan need to borrow this openness, the freedom to vote sensibly, rationally and more consciously in an effort to make this society an epicenter of tolerance.More importantly Americans need to grab their part of wisdom from this London election as they are all set to elect real estate mogul Donald trump as their president.Though he hasn't grabbed the final lead against other moderate candidates but he is surprising the world regarding his fair margin victories in a cultured society like America.

Trump also vowed to ban entry of Muslims in America once he becomes president.Another racial comment was about constructing a wall with Mexican border so infact Americans need to know that hate factor isn't going to take them anywhere, performance and prejudice are incomparable.Being a current super power with an extremist mindset president like trump would be a threat to the world.

We in Pakistan need to be more tolerant. Instead of borrowing only fashion from England ,we need to Mortgage these political values and realities against our filthy corrupt ethnic culture.Sadly, had he been in Pakistan with opposite religion to mainstream one,he wouldn't have been a deputy councilor even.

Thumbs Up London,Felicitations Sadiq Khan

From Mtv to Mecca ........A Review

From Mtv to Mecca as is evident from the name is a journey of PEACE that transcends from Glossy,Glittering,Glamerous Nights of Showbiz to serenity,Peace, religion and selflessness.Though the title depicts a “Poles away “ subject but in fact the MTV Presenter Kristiane Backer paved an easy way to everyone reading it.With that diverse spectrum of subject, one can imagine a complexity but the book isn’t a bumpy ride of intellectual exercise for the reader rather it’s a calm, pause pleasing and at the same time a page turner type of book.
The Author has completely but not complexly described her journey as when she was a showbiz Mogul to the time when she embraced Islam through many friends one of them is a Pakistani. At one time the Author and Pakistani were all set to marry but things didn’t work like that. That’s a part of the story though not to be missed.
The book encapsulates tiny religious details and when I was hovering over the book I was confused at times as how a converted Muslim was able to identify and research those minute details regarding Islam. At one point you will think that the book is by a famous religious scholar of World but then you will recity and say o No the author is a Pakistani, but you realize that Kristiane backer belonged to germany and is a converted Muslim.
Her Merital life is also discussed in the book. The tough and painful part of the book comprises of this topic. The  interesting thing is that her first marriage didn’t work but winded up in a peaceful calm way but the second adventure regarding marriage was a painful story for her when both loved each other but the over necessary conservativeness of her Husband(In her opinion) lead to disaster.

The famous 9/11 is also discussed and the horrific impact of the incident on Muslims living in east is also readful.I and more importantly the author believes that this misadventure wasn’t any sort of service to muslims rather it was dreadful to muslims and the world over.Islam means peace,He who violates it,misses the true spirit of religion.
The masterpiece covers the religious sacred journey of Mecca twice once for umrah and the other for hajj.
Although one can differ but I can safely say that this book covers the dark side of some of the muslims, those who are muslims and even practicing one but not following the true spirit of islam.I would like to wind up with an incident that Backer quoted that once she took her friend Bob to a sufi gathering led by Sheikh Nizam.Bob listened to the sermons and that evening ended. Some days later, bob reached the place of Kristiane Backer and showed her the newspaper that was supposedly saying that”Bob has embraced Islam”.That saddened Kristiane as why the speculators decided to do this. One of the followers of Sheikh took the picture of Bob and sent that to newspapers.Bob obviously was poisioned by this act of a Muslim. It also affected his PR.
The reason why I chose this incident is nature of my fellows on social media. They see a rumor, mostly about someone famous converting to islam and then share it without any research. We must get to know of importance of truth.

The Pakistani who was about to marry Kristiane Backer was none other than Imran Khan.
Though the book is a book of great one liners but I thought to share this one to close my review

“Our soul  purpose is our sole purpose in  life”

Karachi !! From 1947 to Ak-47

Rangers operation in Karachi and more specifically and daringly at nine zero has opened up a new spectrum of thinking pattern for everyone cogitating about when things will change. It’s not just a surprise raid,it’s something beyond everyone’s expectations that a day will come when power politics will bend down before actual power. The first ever surprising moment in modern times for APMSO or MQM was when the party leader in London faced severe charges and even taken into custody.London is rightly called the city of money and power but after that catastrophe (for them),I am ignorant about the money but sure about the power of MQM tapering off  day by day.

And if we stretch the timeline from August last year to march this year,we can see drastic changes in political scenario of Pakistan.126 days sit in,if brought nothing (in case),surely lead to a guy named Ch.Sarwar, the british M.P came as a governor and went as a popular ex.Governor charging his own government.

And after the horrific 16/12 attack in Peshawar institutions squeezed and expanded their capacity to combat this militancy. What if I Say that a shareef is losing the popularity with the same amount as another shareef is gaining although the one losing should be concerned about that as he has to be in masses again for power politics to prevail. The Karachi operation or more precisely nine zero operation has definitely added to strength of establishment aimed at fighting against militancy in any form either crude or refined one.
And this fight against militancy plus roars of soft quo roaming around in power corridors vindicate the fact that democratic institutions tend to debacle in terms of performance or governance. Army is rebranding the institution and emerging as a strong pillar of state owing to what fuss the democratic leaders made in last 7 years.Reconciliation used as a ostensible purpose for saving own perks and ill gotten money fanned the flames for people searching and dying for bread and butter.

While I was just scrolling my twitter handle I came across a very interesting tweet. The One liner was

“The boys have decided to clean up Karachi”

This is the total summary.karachi is moving back to  1947 from AK-47 and this change is widely accepted across  Pakistani map though roars are out but so timid and questionable as to create no impact.

The political stake holders of Karachi should remain political from now onwards and to those linking the operation with a single party, brace yourself, things are going strictly against all those involved in this gang war business. From PPPP to MQM and JI and list may linger on,anyone can face the music as

Application for Governor Punjab -A specimen

Assalam o Alaikum

 Respected,

Mian Nawaz Sharif,Mian Shahbaz Sharif,Mian hamza Shehbaz Sharif

I hope this letter finds you in the best of your professional health.
Mr.Prime minister you know I am a hardworking political player.I have always admired your personality  and your governance style.Through a T.V ticker I came to know that Governor Punjab Ch.Sarwar has resigned .Mr.Prime minister ,I just want to say that the gibberish he uttered amid-st leaving the office is baseless.Being a citizen of Pakistan,I can safely say that under your premiership we have progressed by leaps and bounds.Education standard already skyrocketing. There’s a noticeable reduction in load shedding.Cessation in corruption.
What Ch.Sarwar said regarding poor governance is lousy and absolute nonsense. He was an inconsiderate imbecile guy.He was from british labour part that’s why he was simply unaware of local politics.Mr.Prime minister I would love to show my allegiance with PMLN .Being a thorough professional I would like to offer my services for governorship.
I must say in advance that I will be benign to your monarchy.I know Pakistan is facing humongous problems and you are the one who can solve the issues faced,so I will not block your way. Moreover chief minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif is my ideal.I always keep his passport size photograph in my wallet
Dear Majesty,
I would like to say that being a governor I will definitely nag at opposition particularly the self proclaimed change agent Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf.I feel severe pain when I see information minister sitting alone bashing Imran Khan.I will share his responsibility so he can better handle the ministry.I will never ever become a guarantor regarding long march in future if Dr.Tahir ul Qadri returns back the next season.I will not ask for electoral reforms and investigation.I have a deep rooted experience regarding local politics and you know after all politics is local.
Moreover I have a well established business outside Pakistan so how can I criticize yours.I am not a lawyer and so will not go into legalities regarding official matters.Being a governor I will only attend meetings and will call on delegations.Regarding official summaries to be signed by me,I am pledging myself in advance.I have already ordered two stamps with my signatures engraved .You need not worry about my approval. You can do it yourself with those stamps and Lastly I am a foodie I promise when you will come to governor house, you will be served with Nehari in breakfast and hareesa in lunch and for Chief Minister Punjab,I assure the food will be hot and cold respectively and most respectfully.

Kindly pay my greetings to all the sharif family and specially to those who matter

Profound Regards
An aspirant

Media loosing charm or Elite Getting Calm

Media, most often claimed as the fourth pillar of the state and to many Sunday pundits, the only effective pillar in recent times is becoming ineffective with time.
It has been a tragic outcome of a number of events lined up that forced me to say that media isn’t that vibrant now.

Let us connect some events in a chain to prove the point.
We have all been informed by black box through black camera that over 300 children died in THAR owing to hunger.Sadly Hunger is the only thing they “own”.But to what extent do you all believe that media hammering compelled the bureau-political elite to cater the issue.Sadly they all successfully failed to give us even a “convincing excuse” to this catastrophe. To my knowledge(which is infact dim)not a single political figure sacked in that shame timeline. The chief minister visited the place and was served with scrumptious food. The same food for which angels cried and inturn died.
Let’s manify what’s happening at federal and Punjab Level.Last month a severe oil crises, worst in the history hit Pakistan.Masses stuck at petrol stations just to have a liter or so.Media giants with all their guns basically camera lens kept on focusing the issue.Helicams showed as how the people including the women were in relentless queues for fuel. After that it is no big news that not a single political personality lost his office for that sheer negligence and failure.PM Nawaz with all his hullabaloo regarding heavy mendate was so benign to his ministers. Not a glimpse of his power being displayed. He completed his anger spell by dismissing four officers,a rhetoric way of showing something to people.
And now move towards Punjab with Khadim e Ala as its head.By the way,if you award me with that protocoal and perks I am ready to claim myself as humble as one can be.The self proclaimed Khadim e Ala was served with food in meetings and after observing  that hot isn’t hot and cold isn’t cold though,he ordered the purchase of a special container for keeping food quality elite. Please don’t bother to mention the price of container as low as 3.3 million.CM Punjab brags about his humbleness and pro people attitude. This news in print media was too no table to create an impact.
Now move on to KPK.The change agent party with all their tall claims regarding local body elections before 2013 has failed to give a local body system after almost 2 years. The people from the party will definitely yell at me saying we were compelled by this and that but to my knowledge PMLN claimed something same regarding loadshedding. They failed to mitigate the situation.Should we also give them some leverage? Surely NOT.
I am not that confused regarding what has gone wrong .If I can compare media’s effectiveness with political elite invulnerability,I can safely gauge that the  political elite has simply become non vulnerable to some obsolete species called “Moral Values”.Media thrashing is now an SOP for them after they commit some mistake.

Lastly I am saddened by all this.I knew media can shape narrative and can eradicate the basic evils in society but the rising negligence and stubbornness of top guns of political fraternity is making print and Electronic media ineffective though media is and will continuously strive to meet the never ending expectations and needs of people.

Thar! A Totally Told Story

You get to know that you live in Pakistan when you come to know that 60 people died in Wagah blast the same month when a bus in a head on collision with a truck resulted in loss of 60 lives and when you come to know that infants are dying in Thar and nothing serious is in place to stop the catastrophe.
And who bothers for these poor kids who grow up in a deplorable state. What if they died.Their Life wasn’t so lavish one could wish to live. They had to die one day. What if they died due to lack of food.
And here comes our Chief Minister yelling that he visited Thar as many a times as no one ever did.A standing ovation to this so called democracy that stems from people and results in graves being built for lack of food. And let’s surmise that children died not due to inflation but due to ailments, who will tell the government officials that health also comes under the umbrella of government. It’s the first and foremost responsibility of government to look after people. You get to know that you live in Pakistan when so much above stated has happened and not a single official has resigned owing to the onus which they didn’t carry.Moral Bankruptcy is skyrocketing in Pakistan.
For an instance let’s suppose that much has happened in any of the Scandinavian country, what could be their priority number 1.Every one knows that they invest more in saving life than to pay for its loss.I heard the news of a fish party in process by speaker of the province for members at Ibrahim Haidery at the same time when infants were dying. And you know that one of the most severe death pains include the one due to lack of food. It’s the time when organs swallow organs as they have nothing to do else. You know what,Some 90 kids died in 45 days.It means nothing has been done in 45 days to stop infants dying.Till today, kids are dying and will die as this is not some sort of threat to democracy and democratic institutions.
I have something more to say and that’s some 3 lac water bottles expiredbut were not distributed.
And let me quote an example of that chilli mine incident when some 33 miners were trapped inside the mine for 69 days.A rescue operation was conducted and all of them were taken out of that death valley. And you know what, the president of chille Sebastian Pinera himself supervised that rescue operation. This happens when you care for people. He waited throughout the night and morning to meet and greet mine workers. And our chief minister travelled with over 90 glittering cars to pay a visit to the affected area. What a protocoal oriented services we pay to this nation. At this point of time I have just to say one thing and that’s politicians are playing a vital role to depreciate democracy.Yes they have worked day and night to pave the way for dictatorship. Their good deeds confined to their family results in that boot rule which then lasts for 10 years. When people are not given basic facilities, to hell with what type of government system is in place.Belly teaches all the arts and it needs to be satisfied with something substantial rather constitutional amendments.

Just a Pakistani,Not a terrorist

Let me disengage myself from a particular fraternity holding weapons and sampling voilence.I am a Pakistani.I was born in a country where peace was knocking out violence relentlessly.I walked into parks without walkthrough gates.I entered into malls without the fear of survillence.I had never seen blood, nor the flag march of ambulances carrying injured away.I could spend a whole day without a bad news but then a horrific incident changed all of this.
War against terror started.Though the purpose was good,to eradicate terrorism.I support that but after sometime,i was stunned to see things going worse.Suicide bombings killed my citizens. Now i hardly find a day without a blast in my country. Can i ask international community a conundrum.
What made my fun filled life a humdrum life.I fully support peace and promoting that and i do know that my fellow citizens now curse terrorists and extremists. What they (extremists)  are doing is not what we people urge.We want peace beyond borders. This planet should be voilence free but wait a while,i have played my part for it but i don't see and foresee a complete solution to this menace.
I have condemned,I have tweeted,I have conveyed the message of peace but even then international community considers  me i.e pakistani’s a terrorist loving community. How can you slander that when I have lost my 35000 people and some 35 billion dollars in a race to sling out extremism. If you can’t compensate for my loss, appreciate my efforts. While crossing my border and entering into any airport located in Europe,I am not glanced,I am stared as if I support this cancer.
You have kidnapped my innocence.I fear going to parks,I fear entering into shopping malls.Funeral prayers and mosques are not safe, even then you tag me as terrorist.I am a peace loving citizen. If you can’t do something,do something to appreciate me.I am facing crises. Many of the people now fear having beard that they will be treated inhumanely.
Still I believe that extremism has mucked up financial foundations of my state.Sporadic bombing resulted in brain drain. We are investing more on defence than education.Life has lost festivity.I don’t screech while watching a horrer movie because I am a regular viewer of state televisison. For how much span can we force our children not to see that blood dominated content.

My request is simple and costs nothing but a compliment from international community that Pakistani’s have done much to stamp out terrorism.I need respect in international community.I need psychological relief that I am not a traitor and pro terrorist agent.I want acknowledgement.I will continue striving against this evil but you have to cogitate regarding your attitude towards me.I want people from Europe to give a round of applause to Pakistani’s for their services.I want a standing ovation.i want acknowledgement.

The fault in our Democracy

Ever since i grew up politically, the most tossed quote was Democracy is the only viable solution to problems faced by the land.Starting after 2008 elections when self exiled leaders bowed back on the ground,we have been in a constant state of democracy if democracy is to elect by people and by vote.
But there's another menace owing to this democracy and that's the relentless miss governence aimed at satisfying personal motives and super personal desires.Appointing friends and relatives to key positions is what  iam saying.
Now as mid august approached and the long marches started from data ki nagri Lahore, everyone from the parliament(Termed a part of status quo by opponents) is yelling for democracy.Democracy in it's essence is definitely the best form of government a state can have but what to say of the democracy focussed on commissions and kickbacks, infested with nepotism, drenched in corruption.
While talking of the scandinavian democracies in the world, one observes that their parliament focussed first on the basic rights of masses.Improving judicial system, stamping out corruption, strengthening local system, devolution of power to grass root level. That definitely took time but they streamlined their efforts. One simply can't satisfy his appetite repeating democracy some 200 times a day.No doubt they are not perfect in terms of performance and nothing in the world meets that benchmark but what they did was meeting the threshold of performance in terms of health, education, land, tax and most importantly rule of law. This type of pro active democracy is acceptible to everyone, this type of governence produces receptive masses denying dictatorship or other forms of government at any cost or  post.
While talking of this land, everyone knows that our leaders want democracy just to satisfy their need to be power centric.Being in a state of democracy from last 6 years, democratic leaders are unable to devolve power through local body elections. What can be said regarding health and education sector.Every year we loose our pretty, cute, innocent kids owing to some ailment entirely due to someone's negligence. And what about flood hitting us every year,We pay millions in terms of compensation money but we are unable to spend the same to save and preempt the catastrophe.Judicial commissions are formed. They do formulate the report although that is published by media house as part of their exclusive story. The culprits are free to roam around. We are not even heading towards betterment. One can see that setting free Gullu Butt, worst flooding,Model town tragedy brought bad name to trio of state pillars. With Pakistan in a state of turmoil owing to IDP’s and floods,Prime Minister headed to U.S and stayed in Most expensive hotel there. After the news,do you really think people will keep themselves glued to slogan of democracy. And by the time, you must have seen your electricity bills,Do you still support this type of dormant democracy. Democracy in Pakistan is Duration Oriented,It should be performance oriented.
Last five years of democracy brought a mammoth of embezzlement stories and that is why democracy is facing the music now. With supreme court in action and vibrant media in reaction, nothing much happened if we think of rule of law being prevailed. And while listening to Bilawal's speech,i was consistently bothering about why the guy kept quiet in his 5 years tenure. We do know the situation of our country with fragile economy and mobile autonomy but above all corruption has no justification.I am not against democracy but yes I believe there should be a difference between democracy and scamocracy
For those who rant dictatorship comes with a package of corruption too,i wanna prompt that dictatorship is a paratrooper form of government.not elected by masses while democracy in it's essence means by the people, for the people,of the people.
Why Imran Khan and Dr.Qadri despite all their blunders survived to continue their sit in for that long and with that media lens, was they were talking of people's rights, the slogan was very popular.Pakistan Tehreek Isaf totally converted a political move to somewhat movement for masses.Although it's getting more and more difficult to deliver in KPK,eventhen the conversation from both the containers was actually right..And finally let me say that this is the first Imran Khan, more and more will come in future and will get popular,Only performance will block their way to islamabad and red zone.Belly teaches all the arts, the art to rebel, the art to destroy symbol of democracy, the art to snatch your rights.
